The brief for this project expands on the topic of influence of media exposure and its impact on young children where the relevant problem has been tackled with strategic ideation along with strong visuals supporting the idea. This project is part of a college brief with Disney Plus being a potential client to market the execute the experience been presented.
Problem:
It’s tricky for parents to talk to their children (aged 5-15 y/o) about topics related to love, puberty and sex. However, these are important facets of life that should be taught regardless sensitive it might be.
Insight:
Media plays a big role in influencing children and how they understand the world around them.
Idea:
The subject of the birds and the bees explained through movies and series available on Disney+
Execution:
A new function added to movies and series on Disney+ that helps parents teach their kids about sensitive topics such as kissing, puberty, pregnancy and sex. Whenever a scene containing a sensitive subject plays, characters will appear. At the click of a button, users will be led to a short video explaining the topic, using scenes from Disney+ content.
